Recently, SEO's has warned by Google as they can expect new issues and spikes in errors in the Google Search Console enhancement reports.
Started on April 3, 2019, a warning has been posted by the Google on its Google Search Console data anomalies page. The warning says the "SEO's can see a rise in the number of issues and affected pages".
The main reason behind this is that "Google has now started collecting more data than previously started on 3rd April 2019, increase in issues and affected items/pages on the enhancement reports", Google says.
Google Search Console was previously known as "Google Webmaster Central" and "Google Webmaster Tools". It is a collection of tools and resources which helps website owners, SEO professionals, and webmasters to monitor their website performance in the Google search index.
Google Search Console has various features which give useful information such as:
Google wrote: "Started from April 3, 2019, data is now being collected from more pages than previously reported for most enhancement reports. This results in an increase in new issues and affected items/pages on the Search Console enhancement reports".
This is the reason why there is a major increase in the new issues and errors on Search Console enhance reports", Google further added.
No, this is not such serious concern for the SEO's and other professionals. Google is giving heads up and has tried to warn SEO's, webmasters, developers, and site owners as they are going to see more rise in the number of issues and affected items in the enhancement reports.
Now, you should not be worried and should rather expect these flaws as the new errors which you are seeing have already been there previously. However, Google is reviewing more pages and reporting new issues on those pages. You can still address these issues as they are necessarily not the new issues which Google has not previously been surfacing based on the pages it reviewed.
"It can greatly affect the most enhancement reports", Google wrote. The "most" enhancement reports include such as AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) report, jobs, products, mobile usability, and others.
However, Google is still clueless and not said anything about the enhancement reports that won't be impacted.
Yes, this latest announcement and warning by Google greatly matters. However, Google has now started effectively address the new issues and has started reviewing more pages and reporting on issues on those pages as well.
But, if Search Engine Optimizers, webmasters, developers and site owners see new errors pop up, they can assume that they have already existed and Google did not report them.
